MODERN LIVING AND LEISURE
Living a good life means, for many, to travel, see the world and experience beautiful places.
The leisure industry, including tourism, is the world’s single largest industrial activity. Options for sustainable leisure – from long-distance travel, hotels, activities, to new concepts of leisure including nature activities, sports, local culture and more – are exploding.
How can leisure activities be aligned with making a world that is careful with its resources? How can local goals be aligned with the expectations of tourists and
visitors? How can the money that tourists spend be valuable for the local community now and in the future?
Mayumi Narongin from Schyst Resande/ Fair Travel will moderate a seminar on positive impact from travels in general, and and Cecilia Wibjörn at Skärgårdsstiftelsen, Lennart Gladh WWF, Jan Pfister Grinda Wärdshus and Lisa Emelia Svensson Swedens Ambassador for Sea, Ocean and Freshwater will explore the local context and challenges of Stockholm Archipelago.
